Biographies of Our Esteemed Owner & Attorney

ATTORNEY ROBERT J. TOMBARI, JR., is a 1972 Cum Laude graduate of Archbishop Williams High School, located in Braintree, Massachusetts. He then attended Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree from its Criminal Justice Program, graduating Cum Laude in 1976. Later, in approximately 1978, he became employed as a police officer with the City of Lakeland, Florida Police Department, for approximately four years, prior to returning to the Boston area in 1982 to attend the New England School of Law, Boston, Massachusetts graduating Cum Laude in 1985. From 1983 through 1985, Attorney Tombari worked with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bankruptcy Trustee’s Office, in Boston, Massachusetts. He later practiced as an attorney for approximately four years with the law firm of Marinelli & Morisi, located in Braintree, Massachusetts, while concentrating primarily on real estate, secured transactions, and financing related matters. Former Governor, William F. Weld, appointed Attorney Tombari as a Public Administrator in 1992.

Attorney Tombari has nearly 30 years of experience, concentrating in such areas as: litigation; Federal, State, and Municipal zoning and land permitting processes; land acquisition, development and construction; commercial business acquisition, financing and/or secured transactions; corporate and personal bankruptcy secured creditor liquidation, re-organization, and insolvency loan modification matters, and so on.

In 2004, Attorney Tombari together with his real estate development partners, were successful in acquiring in excess of $15 Million of various real estate assets by purchasing the commercial note obligations from Ocwen Federal Savings Bank, located in Florida, which was one of several secured creditors of a complicated Chapter 11 Bankruptcy created Creditor’s Liquidation Trust. The acquisition entitled them to become the Senior Beneficiary of the Trust. Attorney Tombari was instrumental in assisting the Liquidation Trust’s Trustee in and with the evaluation and liquidation of its secured assets, and obtaining title to over 100 parcels of properties of land totaling in excess of 500 hundred acres.

From 2005 through 2006, Attorney Tombari was responsible for the assemblage of multiple parcels of land in the Town of Hanover, the combination of which totals in excess of 120 acres. During this time, he created and drafted the proposed Village Planned Unit Development (Mixed-Use) Zoning Bylaw Article, which was successfully approved by the Town of Hanover’s Annual Town Meeting in May of 2007.

This Mixed Use Zoning Bylaw forged the way for the creation and subsequent fall of 2007 Town of Hanover approval of a $120 Million “Village” (Mixed-Use) Development Project, which was acknowledged by the former Governor or Massachusetts, Mitt Romney, as to what he envisioned as a “Smart Growth Development Project”.
